Very bad experience for a so called fine dine restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation, so they accommodated us in the room beyond the restaurant tables which was kinda private dining. From there, things went south. - we didn’t go for the fixed meal but ordered a la carte. Every time we ordered a dish, the waiter was like this portion is very very small, dimsum is only 15 grams and so on. That was quite surprising as he was giving these specifics and repeatedly telling us all portions are very less, though we ordered quite enough for 2 people. - the dimsum were pathetic, to put it plain and simple. They were frozen, not thawed properly. My chicken dinsum was cold from the inside! When you’re going to a restaurant like this, you expect everything made fresh. PS- please don’t ever order dimsum here they’re frozen, all of them. - there was no hibachi, or the live cooking by the chefs. Everything was coming from the kitchen. Even the main course was little oily. - slow service, so I didn’t bother for replaced dimsum. Overall bad experience, they were very good earlier but looks like they’re going down. Will never go back here.
I went here for my birthday, accompanied by my wife. unfortunately, this place is absolutely not worth the money that you will spend over here. The people who are writing such extraordinary reviews here don't seem to have ever gone to south east or east Asia. To somebody who is not expecting much, it may feel like a novel experience, but the quality of the food, and the price they ask for it is really not up to the mark. Just because it is in Hyatt, and its a costly place, does not make it good. The sauces all taste the same. The cook does is not very careful when cooking on the live kitchen in front of you. some of our chicken was raw and some of it was overcooked. The gyoza was spoiled by the addition of the sauces. Furthermore, the staff is not attentive, your food will be lying, getting cold while a waiter comes and picks it up for you. DO NOT plan to go here for a special occasion, or any celebration etc. Only go here to see a live kitchen counter once. Order the cheapest thing that you can see cooked in front of you, have that and go home.
Really enjoyed the desserts and also the dumplings... I usually don't write reviews but this restaurant deserves it.. My best wishes to the restaurant and the staff..
Hopeless food. No taste at all in food. No use of spices ,very bland
This was my 4th visit to TGs, First after lockdown. There is a stark difference in service pre and post lockdown. Extremely low standards of service, just not upto the mark for a Hyatt restaurant. Food was as delicious as it used to be, no point deduction there but service was pathetic. Earlier Servers have been replaced by amateurs who need to check for any requests made with someone senior before committing. Water refill had to be asked for. Chef and server recommendations which were commonplace earlier are non existent now. Hyatt must understand that ppl pay more for a 5 star for the experience and not just the food. By the way they have done away with palate cleansers too in between courses. All in all a poor experience compared to the one pre lockdown
