Classic tiramisu

Tiramisu is a timeless no-bake Italian dessert combining espresso-dipped ladyfingers and a creamy lightly sweetened mascarpone cream. Ladyfingers are the main ingredient in many desserts including trifles and tiramisu.

  • Step 1

    In a bowl combine the egg yolk with sugar and mix till creamy

  • Step 2

    Add the mascarpone and mix well

  • Step 3

    Dip the biscuit in the coffee and layer on bottom of serving plate of the tiramisu

  • Step 4

    Cover with half tiramisu mixture and again place biscuit dipped in coffee

  • Step 5

    Finish with the remaining mixture and let rest for 3 hours in the fridge

  • Step 6

    Before serving sprinkle with some cacao powder
